whisper.cpp now runs inside the app, built from our own pinned source and updated to v1.9.2, with the Metal shaders precompiled. The engine warms up when xcribe launches, so even your first dictation no longer waits on model loading. Dictations are faster end to end.
A new local engine joins whisper.cpp, powered by Parakeet TDT v3. The model picker now shows models from both engines, each with its own set of languages, and downloads show real progress. Advanced settings lists your downloaded models with their disk usage, so you can delete the ones you don't use.
xcribe now tells you when a new version is available, so you can update right away.
